Hi. I’m Genevieve. I’m a Canadian living in Brooklyn, NY. I spend my days cooking and thinking about food, and when I’m not doing that, I’m usually sipping coffee and reading. (About food, mostly.)(But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to read anything and everything.)

This blog began as a recipe blog a few years ago when I was at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. My blog has slowly evolved into a space where I examine my culinary curiosities and share my thoughts on other things, which range from travel to the books I read to the other food-related questions I have that extend beyond the plate. I have a keen interest in sustainability, food politics, culture, and identity. These topics will pop up from time to time, and if you are averse to politics or political opinions, this might not be the right place for you.

My favourite food, besides chocolate chip cookies, are vegetables. Which vegetables? All of them. My fiancé, Lewis, calls me an edible plant enthusiast.

Why “Gratitude and Greens”? Because I have a whole lotta gratitude for everyone and everything in my life, and I eat a whole lotta greens.
